Ciao.

[This is where I write about my experiences in italia and stuff]

short update

I don’t have the energy or the time to write about everything that has happened thus far. So, Ill do a quick summary instead! I left Michigan on the 8th of May and arrived 16 hours later at the Marco Polo airport where my dear friend, Gianmarco, picked me up.  Soon after, he took me out to a cute little pub in Dolo where he had me try my first spritz. Throughout the time we spent together Gianmarco (or “Jimmy”) introduced me to his family and his friends, who are all extremely friendly.

His friend, Giovanni, owns a restaurant where we went several nights for dinner to meet up with friends and eat incredible pizza. Other nights we went to Venice and drank spritz with friends at Campo Santa Margherita. It was at Campo Santa Margherita where I learned all the “bad” Italian words ;] Another night I went to a place called “Pop Corn Club” with “Fonte”, Mia, Gianmarco, and Giulia. I spent most of the night hanging out with Mia and Giulia. One of Gianmarco’s friends, Carlo, lives in Berlin and was visiting for a few days. Carlo invited me to stay with him and his roommate, Nina. So, one night he helped me book a flight and I left 3 days later for Berlin!

Berlin was incredible. Graffiti covers the town and you will find young people filling the streets no matter what hour it is.  So, long story short, I went to incredible discos, chilled at 3 different parks, went to a nice dinner that had the most delicious food, stayed up until at least 7 am every morning, met 3 guys from sweden at a bar who were smoking marijuana inside and hungout with them all night, met some of the most beautiful people from all over the world, and had one of the best weeks of my life ever. I spent most of the time with Nina, Max, and Carlo. Also, Club Mates are incredible, the hopping birds with Carlo were hilarious, the “cat club” is indescribable, and “I wanna deeeeeaaance!” <3

It’s been 6 days since Berlin and I am now living/working at a hostel in Venice. I like it here and have met so many interesting people. Now, I’m just worried about how little money I have in the most expensive city. Hmm, oh well.
